Ninjas Trip to Champadevi Resort Dakshinkali, Nearly Thrown Hands With Manager of the Resort

Benjamin James Collins (Director of Advice Ninja) organised a one-night trip to Champadevi Hillside Resort, Dakshinkali, an ambitious initiative designed to strengthen team bonding. Several activities were organised to ensure the fun trip remained, at all times, extremely fun.

From an employee’s perspective, everything about the trip was super fun — except for the ride. The resort was approximately fourteen minutes away from the take-off point (office), which in musical terms translated to roughly three full songs and an unreasonable amount of contemplation.

“I think it was the best trip they have ever been to,” said Benjamin James Collins (Director, Advice Ninja), offering an assessment widely regarded as both confident and optimistic.

Adding further commentary, Safal Dhami (Senior Ninja, Advice Ninja) contributed what sources described as corny but heartfelt words:

“It made me feel one step closer to my Gs.”

The amount of lunch consumed after reaching the resort could only be described as a world-hunger-ending quantity. Card games followed shortly after, serving as both entertainment and a necessary recovery period.

Collins had several gifts prepared for the crew beforehand, which he distributed individually in a display of generosity that immediately raised expectations for future trips. Safal Dhami (Senior Ninja) received a maroon Brisbane rugby jersey (his favourite team), a gift widely regarded as the most strategically impressive of the selection.

Another event hosted was titled “Choose Your Lucky Envelope,” where seven envelopes were carefully arranged for employees, each promising a prize and testing everyone’s relationship with probability. The grand prizes included a three-thousand pay increase and six-thousand in cash, ensuring the event was taken extremely seriously.

Congratulations were extended to Safal for securing the exclusive gift, and to Anuska Shakya and Anshu Malakar (Junior Accountants) for successfully selecting what were unanimously agreed to be the best envelopes. Expectations are reportedly high that ABN checks will continue to be remembered — repeatedly.

One issue that briefly disrupted the otherwise cheerful trip was the sleeping arrangement situation. In an effort to maximise togetherness while maintaining professionalism, rooms were booked separately for señoras and divas — a decision that was widely appreciated until beds became involved.

In the women’s room, the available bed space proved to be mathematically insufficient for the number of occupants. Management reportedly agreed to arrange a portable bed at an additional cost.

The absence of the promised bed was later attributed to a housekeeping oversight. However, some team members quietly theorised that the situation may have been an advanced hospitality sales strategy designed to encourage the booking of an additional room.

Following the experience, and in direct response to feedback regarding the ride duration, Collins has reportedly promised to take his employees on a much longer ride during his next visit to Nepal — a statement currently being interpreted with cautious optimism.
